What is a vCard QR code?
It's a QR code that encodes a vCard — a small text file with your name, phone, email, company and other contact fields in a standard format. Scanning it offers to save all of that straight into the phone's contacts app, instead of opening a webpage.
Will it work on iPhone and Android by default?
Yes. Both iOS and Android camera apps recognize vCard data natively — no extra app needed. Point the camera at the code, tap the prompt, and the contact card opens ready to save.
Why is a vCard QR code better than a link on a business card?
A link sends people to a webpage they then have to read and retype into their phone. A vCard QR code skips that entirely — one scan, one tap, the contact is saved with every field filled in correctly, with no typos.
Can I edit the QR code later if my phone number changes?

What fields should I fill in for a business card?
Full name is the only required field. For a printed business card, name, organization, job title, phone and email cover the essentials — address and website are optional extras if there's room.
